Day 01: Poole, UK

Day 02-03: Days at Sea + Transit the Kiel Canal

Her facilities include the impressive Olissipo Restaurant with an alternative dining option in the Lotus Buffet, a choice of five comfortable lounges and bars including the Calypso Show Lounge, plus a nightclub, cinema and auditorium, casino, shopping boutique, photo shop, library, card and bridge room, and a beautiful marbled reception area.

Day 04: Wismar, Germany

The medieval town of Wismar on Germany’s Baltic coast was during the 14th and 15th centuries a major trading centre of the Hanseatic League. The old quarter, with its distinctive gabled architecture and cobbled stone streets, is a wonderful legacy of Wismar’s Hanseatic heyday. 

Day 05: Ronne, Bornholm, Denmark

Nestled nearer to Sweden than Denmark, Bornholm has been under Danish rule since 1522. Once an important Baltic trading port, today the island is known for its scenic beauty and historic Old Town. Be sure to enjoy a leisurely stroll in the Gamle Stan (Old Town) with its cobbled streets and yellow and orange cross-timbered houses. 

 

Day 06: Visby, Gotland, Sweden

Beautiful Visby is a stunning sight as you sail into Gotland, its Cathedral, stone building rooftops and the old city wall are the ports stunning backdrop. Just a short walk from the ship, you can follow the old city wall round to the original entrance into the city, dating back to the 12th Century, much of the original town has survived, and wandering its UNESCO World Heritage streets is the perfect way to spend your day on shore. 

 

Day 07: Klaipeda, Lithuania

As Lithuania’s oldest city, Klaipeda dates back to the 7th century and there is history crammed into every nook and cranny of the city. Much of the historic centre does not exist anymore, although the Prussian influences are still clearly visible throughout the city especially in the town square and adjoining streets. 

Day 08: Gdansk, Poland

With a history dating back to the 10th Century, Gdansk was forged by years of Prussian and Hanseatic rule, however, the battles in 1945 to liberate the city destroyed the majority of it. After many years of careful reconstruction, the city is now back to its former glory and is a feast for the senses. Take a slow walk through the stunning streets and back alleys which run throughout the city to absorb the stunning architecture. The historic quarter is a trip back in time with the highlight being the town hall tower and its surrounding mansions. 

Day 09: Day at Sea + Passage Great Belt

Amongst art and architecture you can see plazas, palaces, churches and cathedrals, before heading to one of the city's white sandy beaches to cool off. The old city is a great place to begin and offers a superb selection of sights and landmarks. Valencia Cathedral displays 3 magnificent portals; one Baroque, one Romanesque and one Gothic. Once inside you can climb the octagonal Miguelete Bell Tower to see sweeping views then from here navigate the narrow streets to the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, the Museo de Belles Artes or the towers of Torres de Serranos. In the new town wander wide balmy avenues and simply observe and enjoy the Mediterranean way of life. More recent additions to the city include the aesthectically stunning and ultramodern 'City of Arts and Sciences' with its fantastically shaped soaring glass palaces.

Day 10: Fredericia, Denmark

Beautiful Fredericia is the stunning highlight of the Jutland peninsula. A climb to the top of the White Water Tower will reward you with unrivalled views over the city. 

Day 11: Day at Sea + Transit the Kiel Canal

Day 12: Amsterdam, IJmuiden, Netherlands

IJmuiden is a city in the Netherlands around 20 miles west of Amsterdam at the sea entrance to the Nordzee Kanaal. The main town of the municipality of Velsen, which has been inhabited since the Roman era, IJmuiden is a busy port with plenty of history. Extensively rebuilt after being damaged during World War II, IJmuiden still a wide selection to see and do. Sea locks, sandy beaches, hidden bunkers, a national park, mansions dating back to the 1700’s and a host of museums are all easily accessible in or around the city as well as having easy connections to nearby Amsterdam.

Day 13: Poole, UK
